Ouricuri wax is a brown vegetable wax obtained from the Brazilian palm tree Syagrus coronata. It is similar to carnauba wax in its physical properties and can be used as a substitute in applications where light color is not essential, such as carbon paper inks, molding lubricants and polishes. This wax was fully replaced by Carnauba wax due to plenty of availability.
